A new 62-unit apartment building is proposed for the partially vacant property at 2301 Westwood Boulevard, on the corner of Westwood and Tennessee.  The project Applicant – doing business as “The Westwood, LLC” – plans to take advantage of increased height and reduced setback bonuses under the citywide Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) program, which would allow a six-story, 65-foot tall structure on the site.  7 units will be set aside for low-income tenants.  We understand that the existing gym business located in the southern portion of the existing building will be moving out in the coming months.  Construction could begin as early as June of 2019.
