I grew up in West Los Angeles, and witnessed the farm across the street from our house make way for a housing tract; freeways were constructed and the Fox Studio back lot transformed into Century City during my early childhood. I am now a long time adult resident of Westwood South. My wife and I raised our three children here – taking advantage of our fine local public schools and parks and recreation system.

I am currently most concerned that whatever future development occurs in our community is determined by our citizens and professional planners who work with communities, not only by politicians and their hand-picked commissioners.

I am committed to working on issue of homelessness as a concern for our fellow human beings. We require a comprehensive approach to addressing the underlying causes — not simply the ineffectual herding and redistribution of those suffering from the financial and/or mental health issues that have forced them to survive life on the streets.

Sidewalk Repair

In December of 2016, the City of Los Angeles launched Safe Sidewalks LA, a 30-year, $1.4 billion program to make sidewalks accessible to everyone.
