One of the great treasures of our neighborhood is our tree-lined streets.  Apart from looking beautiful, we all benefit from the shade and oxygen provided by our street trees – especially the mature specimens.  But to keep our street trees healthy, we need to take care of them.  And as so many of us transition to drought-tolerant landscaping, there is a tendency to forget to water trees on the parkway, many of which are now suffering, in spite of this month’s late rain.
