Westside Neighborhood Council (WNC)

Westwood South area residents are represented by two seats on the Westwood Neighborhood Council (WNC):  Residential Seat 7, which is currently held by Barbara Broide and Residential Seat 18, held by Joseph Roth.  The WNC is one of 103 neighborhood councils throughout the City of Los Angeles that give citizens greater access to City Hall and a more effective voice in city affairs. WSSM is one of 7 residential districts whose stakeholders are represented by the WNC.

Stakeholders have the right to run for a seat on the Board, to participate in the work of its committees, and to bring an issue to the Board’s attention.

WNC meetings are held once a month, on the second Thursday of every month at the Westside Pavilion, Meeting Rm A. To be placed on the agenda, or for other information:

A senior lead officer is an officer in charge of a basic car area within a geographic division, and help connect the LAPD with the communities it serves. They monitor their areas' crime trends, work with Community Police Advisory Boards and act as liaisons with the public.

When there is a life or death emergency that requires the immediate response of emergency services, such as police, fire or paramedic

When there is a medical problem or something that requires the Los Angeles Fire Department to respond

When there is a violent crime in progress

All city service requests may be reported at the MyLA 311 Services Directory for issues like sidewalk repair, graffiti, street light issues, animal control, trash collection, public right of way, encampments, etc.
